Titagarh to establish Safety and Signaling Systems (SSS) business vertical to boost Rail & Metro security

Titagarh has announced the formation of a new business vertical, Safety and Signaling Systems (SSS), to enhance railway and metro safety in India. With an existing JV with MERMEC (Italy), the company will focus on train control, asset condition monitoring, and train-mounted solutions. Dy. MD Prithish Chowdhary will serve as ad-interim CEO of SSS.

With the Indian Railways placing a strong emphasis on safety and signaling enhancements, Titagarh aims to play a crucial role in providing cutting-edge technology and solutions. The company already operates a joint venture with MERMEC of Italy, a global leader in the sector, enabling the introduction of modern technologies and innovative products into the Indian railway ecosystem.

The establishment of SSS marks a strategic expansion for Titagarh, reinforcing its commitment to building safer railway and metro networks in India through indigenous innovation and global collaboration.
