NCRTC awards Rs. 17.64 crore contract to KAHO for rooftop solar PV project on RRTS corridor

The NCRTC has awarded M/s KAHO a Rs. 17.64 crore contract for a 4.9 MWp rooftop solar PV project under the RESCO model. Spanning the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor, this 25-year project includes design, supply, testing, commissioning, and comprehensive maintenance, promoting sustainability and efficient energy utilization across stations, depots, and parking facilities.


Key Responsibilities of the Developer:

  • Conduct site surveys, obtain permits, and provide necessary training.
  • Erect suitable raised structures and maintain the solar PV system for 25 years.
  • Supply spare parts, perform preventive maintenance, and replace defective modules or components.
  • Maintain roof waterproofing for the entire O&M period with annual inspections.

Scope of Work:

Design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and operation & maintenance (O&M) for 25 years. Locations include stations, depots, parking, and other buildings across the corridor.

Completion Timeline:

The project must be completed within 15 months from the commencement date.

Project Model & Cost:

  • RESCO model with a unit rate of Rs. 4.15 per kWh.
  • Comprehensive project cost of Rs. 17.64 crore, inclusive of all duties and taxes.
