NCC Limited has secured a significant contract worth approximately Rs. 2,269 crore for Metro Line-6 from MMRDA. The company has to commission rolling stock, telecommunications, CBTC systems, platform screen doors, and advanced depot systems. The project’s construction is scheduled to be completed within 24 months, it also consists of a defect liability period of 2 years and a 5-year comprehensive maintenance service.
NCC Limited Wins Major Systems Contract for Mumbai Metro Line-6:
In a strategic effort to accelerate the Mumbai Metro project, Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has awarded a high-value order to NCC Limited. The contract comes under Package CA-232 for the Mumbai Metro Line-6, spans from the Swami Samarth Nagar to Vikhroli (Eastern Express Highway) corridor.

- Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) Signaling and Train Control System
- Telecommunication Systems
- Platform Screen Doors (PSD)
- Depot Machinery & Plant (M&P)
This package forms the backbone for Mumbai Metro Line-6, enabling seamless operations, improved safety, and better passenger experience once the line is operational.
Execution Timeline and Maintenance:
- Construction Period: 24 months
- Defect Liability Maintenance Period (DLMP): 2 years
- Comprehensive Maintenance: 5 years post-DLMP
