In a strategic step, Mobility Solutions Limited (MSL), part of the JCBL Group, has expanded its manufacturing facility in Batauli, Punjab, to enhance its advanced composite solutions for railways, automotive, defense, aerospace, and infrastructure sectors. The upgraded plant, operational since December 2024, aims to boost production capacity, sustainability, and innovation while driving economic growth.
Introduction:
- The facility spans over 41,700 square meters, with a covered area of 12,000 square meters, and extends beyond Glass-Reinforced Plastic (GRP) manufacturing to provide advanced composite solutions for railways, automotive, defense, aerospace, and infrastructure sectors.
- This major expansion aligns with MSL’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and economic growth. Commercial production at the upgraded facility commenced in December 2024, with plans to achieve full operational capacity by July 2025.
Strengthening MSL’s Market Position:
With over two decades of expertise in FRP parts manufacturing, MSL has grown from catering to captive needs since its inception in 2004 to becoming a key supplier of advanced composites solutions. The company now serves major metro projects, railways, and global clients, including Alstom and Wabtec.
Batauli was strategically chosen due to its proximity to JCBL Group’s other manufacturing hubs, availability of skilled labor, and seamless transportation access. The facility currently employs over 150 personnel, with plans to expand as new product lines are introduced. This move is expected to boost local economic development and contribute to the national exchequer.
