Jindal Stainless and Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya sign MoU to advance stainless steel applications in the transportation and logistics sector

Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL) has signed an MoU with Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), Vadodara, to foster research, education, and training in stainless steel applications across transportation, infrastructure, and logistics. The objective of the partnership is to create a strong industry-academia landscape through joint curriculum development, research initiatives, and skill-building programs.


Introduction:

Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL), a renowned stainless steel manufacturer in India, has collaborated with Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), Vadodara, to accelerate India’s manufacturing and talent capabilities in the stainless steel sector. The signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) took place at GSV’s campus during its 3rd Convocation Ceremony.

The MoU was signed by Shri Vijay Sharma, Director, Jindal Stainless, and Prof. Manoj Choudhary, Vice-Chancellor, GSV, in the presence of Hon’ble Minister of Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & Information Technology Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw. The agreement aligns with the Ministry of Railways’ larger vision to reinforce the transportation and logistics sectors through strategic academia-industry collaborations.

This initiative forms a part of the Jindal Stainless’ Stainless Academy, which is focused on strengthening the stainless steel ecosystem in India through education, upskilling, and innovation.

Launched with the vision of enhancing the category’s prominence in India, the Stainless Academy began as a modest training initiative for fabricators. It has now evolved into a comprehensive platform for upskilling students and the blue-collar workforce, building awareness, and creating livelihood opportunities. Through programs such as the Fabricators Training Program and Qualification Pack-based training modules, the Academy is nurturing a skilled talent pool and supporting sustainable sectoral growth.
