BEML and TuTr Hyperloop sign MoU to develop an indigenous Hyperloop system

BEML Ltd. has signed a significant MoU with IIT Madras-incubated TuTr Hyperloop to co-develop India’s first indigenous hyperloop system. This partnership’s objective is to enhance green mobility using advanced maglev and linear induction propulsion technologies. BEML’s role will be to serve as the manufacturing partner for scalable, high-speed passenger and cargo transport systems.

BEML Ltd., a prominent company in rail, defence, and aerospace manufacturing, has dive into a strategic collaboration with TuTr Hyperloop, a deep-tech startup incubated at IIT Madras, to co-develop India’s first homegrown Hyperloop transport system. This partnership highlights a significant step toward transforming India’s high-speed, sustainable transport hub.

A Leap Toward Green Mobility and Ultra-High-Speed Transit:

The key aim of this alliance is to develop Hyperloop pods, a next-gen vehicle capable of carrying passengers and cargo at higher speeds, with low emissions. Advanced technologies like Linear Induction Motors and Maglev technologies will be used in the system.
