Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has awarded a significant contract to Johnson Lifts Pvt. Ltd. for the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of escalators and travelators across Phase-2A and Phase-2B metro stations. The contract, valued at INR 203.08 crore, also includes a 10-year Comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contract (CAMC) after the completion of a two-year Defects Liability Period (DLP).
Scope of Work:
- Design & Manufacturing: Custom escalator systems designed to meet passenger movement requirements at metro stations.
- Supply & Installation: Delivery and seamless installation, including associated civil works for an aesthetically integrated look.
- Technology Transfer: Establishment of technology transfer facilities independently or with an Indian partner.
- Training: Skill development for operation and maintenance staff.
- Coordination & Integration: Collaboration with BBMP, electrical inspectors, consultants, and other metro system contractors.
- Testing & Commissioning: Conducting integrated tests, trials, and obtaining statutory approvals for public operation.
