Aurionpro Solutions Ltd. has won a substantial Rs. 250 crore contract from MMRDA to design, supply, implement, and maintain the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system for Mumbai Metro Lines 4 and 4A. The project includes central clearing software, ticketing hardware, and five years of maintenance, enhancing Aurionpro’s Urban Mobility infrastructure.
Introduction:
Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has awarded an important contract to Aurionpro Solutions Ltd. for the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system. The Rs. 250 crore order involves the design, supply, implementation, and long-term maintenance of the AFC system for Mumbai Metro Lines 4 and 4A.
The award of the contract shows the technical capability of Aurionpro in the urban mobility space and comes on the heels of recent wins with Delhi Metro and Chennai Metro. With Mumbai now on board, Aurionpro reinforce its presence in three of India’s largest metro cities.
Scope of the Project:
- Design, supply, and implementation of a full AFC system.
- Central Clearing House Software (CCHS) for seamless financial transactions.
- Ticketing and payment hardware, including NCMC-enabled card readers and automated gates.
- Five years of maintenance and support to ensure long-term system reliability.
