Made from high-strength, marine-grade aluminium alloys (5XXX and 6XXX series), these bulkers deliver up to 2.5 tonnes of additional payload per trip. They are ideal fort ransporting dry materials such as cement, alumina, fly ash, and flour, benefiting industries like cement, FMCG, and metals.
India’s First All-aluminium Trailer:
Hindalco introduced India’s first trailer made entirely of aluminium, including the chassis. This innovation results in a 40% lighter vehicle compared to conventional mild steel trailers. When paired with an aluminium bulker, this design saves over 3.5 tonnes of dead weight, allowing operators to carry more freight per trip. With the shift toward electric commercial vehicles, this lightweight platform is ideal, helping to offset battery weight and extend range.
Aluminium Buses for Cleaner Urban Transport:
Urban transport systems face rising fuel costs and emissions. Lightweight aluminium buses offer an effective solution, particularly for intra-city and inter-city operations. These buses are up to 1000 kg lighter than steel counterparts and reduce lifetime CO₂ emissions by around 50 tonnes. They also offer better road performance, lower maintenance costs, and improved driving comfort. Their lower centre of gravity enhances safety, while high scrap value ensures economic returns at end-of-life.
Last-Mile Cargo Mobility:
With the rapid growth of electric 3- and 4-wheelers in e-commerce and delivery sectors, Hindalco offers optimised aluminium containers designed for last-mile transport. These containers are modular, visually superior, and available in both welded and weldless formats. Around 40% lighter than mild steel, they require no painting, are corrosion-resistant, and contribute to longer vehicle life. These benefits, combined with lower total cost of ownership, make them ideal for urban logistics.
