This new assignment, identified as CA-233, Line-6, Package-2, covers the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of key systems across the elevated corridor from Swami Samarth Nagar to Vikhroli (EEH).
Scope of Work:
The awarded package includes comprehensive services for:
- Power Supply and Traction Systems
- Electrical and Mechanical (E&M) Works
- Lifts and Escalators
- System Integration, Testing, and Commissioning
- Maintenance Services:
- 2-year Defect Liability Maintenance Period (DLMP)
- 5-year Comprehensive Maintenance post-DLMP
This end-to-end scope ensures not just installation but long-term service reliability and seamless operation of all critical components.
Project Timeline:
The Design and Build phase is set to be completed within 104 weeks (2 years). This will be followed by a 2-year Defect Liability Maintenance Period, ensuring robust operational oversight. Upon its completion, IRCON will be responsible for 5 years of comprehensive maintenance, marking a long-term engagement for service quality and sustainability.

The total value of the contract stands at Rs. 642.44 crore (Rs. 642,44,02,451.34), underscoring MMRDA’s commitment to deploying world-class infrastructure and reliable systems for Mumbai’s ambitious metro network.

Metro Line-6, also known as the Swami Samarth Nagar – Vikhroli (EEH) corridor, is a fully elevated line stretching approximately 15.18 kilometers with interchanges planned with multiple other metro lines, including Lines 2A, 4, and 7. This corridor plays a pivotal role in decongesting road traffic in the city’s north-eastern suburbs while providing high-capacity urban transport.
