Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) has entrusted Saumya Enterprise with contracts for civil works and annual maintenance for the Bhopal Metro Orange Line and Indore Metro Yellow Line. The projects cover infrastructure enhancements and maintenance, including stations, viaducts, depots, and utilities. The total contract value exceeds INR 3.69 crore.
Bhopal Metro Orange Line:
- Scope: Miscellaneous civil works and annual maintenance for AIIMS to Subhash Nagar stations, including the viaduct and depot.
- Value: INR 2,77,51,119.39/-
- Duration: 1,095 days (approx. 3 years).
Indore Metro Yellow Line:
- Scope: Annual maintenance for Gandhinagar to Super Corridor 3 stations, including the viaduct and depot.
- Value: INR 91,64,124.58/-
- Duration: 1 year.
Scope of Work:
The contracts encompass a broad range of activities aimed at improving and maintaining the metro infrastructure, including:
- Structural enhancements across platforms, concourses, utility rooms, and depots.
- Maintenance and repair of civil, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Comprehensive landscaping, road works, and drainage maintenance.
- Ensuring public safety through traffic diversions, barricading, and cautionary signage.
- Material procurement, testing, and quality assurance by the contractor.
The responsibilities also extend to ensuring adherence to safety standards, securing permissions for works, and minimizing disruptions to public operations.
